THE DOORS ARE OPEN.

You find yourself standing before an old wooden door.

Beyond it lies a room of candlelight, velvet, and rising steam.

Somewhere within, cups clink softly.
A fire crackles.
You hear the murmur of a gathering already underway.

> ENTER THE PARLOUR

The door creaks open.

Candlelight spills across the floor. A figure behind an old desk looks up.

"Your name?"

The ledger remains blank. You must enter your name.
> DECLARE YOUR HOUSE

The figure dips their pen into the ink and waits patiently.

"And which House do you serve?"

You cannot proceed without declaring your House.
> PROVIDE A MEANS OF CORRESPONDENCE

The clerk pauses.

Another sheet of parchment is produced from beneath the ledger.

"Should we need to summon you, where may correspondence be sent?"

A valid correspondence address is required.
> CHOOSE YOUR PATH

The clerk closes the ledger.

Two paths lie before you.

YOUR PLACE HAS BEEN RECORDED.

The ledger is closed.

Your name has been entered amongst the evening's company.

The candles are lit.
The cups await.
The other guests are watching.

> ENTER, IF YOU DARE.
